Sander Herring, age 87 resident of Hillsdale, NJ, passed away on March 26, 2020 - formerly residing in the Township of Washington, NJ, for 45 years.
Born Jan. 5, 1933 in the Bronx, NY. He was the son of the late Bert and Florence Herring.
Sandy was an Army Veteran serving in the mid 1950s. Following his service, he attended NYU where he earned his MBA. He worked as the Medical Administrator at Roxbury Medical Group in Succasunna, NJ, for 20 years. Sandy found fulfillment and enjoyed helping others achieve financial stability. He quickly grew his clientele and made many lifelong relationships along the way. Sandy was also a member of the Masonry Lodge.
As a young boy, teenager and adult, Sandy was an avid baseball fan. He was a loyal Detroit Tigers fan cheering and rooting them on for over 60 years! He also coached his two sons in little league for many years.
A quiet, very generous and loving man - his family was his pride and joy. Once retired, he enjoyed spending his winter retreats in Sarasota, Fl, with his wife, Carol, his children, and grandchildren. He loved early morning walks on the beach and feeding the birds with his grandkids.
Sandy is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carol Herring; 2 sons and 1 daughter, Gary (Gina) Herring, Old Tappan, NJ; Nancy (Dan) Relin, Lititz, PA; Scott (Danielle) Herring, Tuxedo Park, NY; and 5 grandchildren: Jessica Herring, Michelle Relin, Jamie Relin, Josh Relin, and Noah Herring
